BIRCO SIR – Stability and Variety
With its range of nominal widths and wide variety of gratings, this channel system is suitable for a diversity of applications - with highest load-bearing capacities.
BIRCOlight – for Challenging Designs and Easy Handling
BIRCOlight - especially in areas such as pedestrian precincts, squares and drives, this channel system with its variety of gratings provides scope for challenging architectural designs. Despite its low weight it has a load-bearing capacity of up to class E 600(1).
Ideal for private applications
No more puddles at entrance, on drives or near garages: This channel system is perfectly suited for DIY installation in private outdoor areas.
Point Drainage - BIRCO SIR outfall units
Some applications require a point drainage to be included in the drainage concept. High load-bearing capacity and large inlet cross-sections of mesh gratings provide for a variety of uses in both private and industrial fields.
The channel system for heavy-duty areas
Wherever strong dynamic horizontal forces are acting, there is an application for the structurally reinforced BIRCOmassiv channel system, which has a surface protection made of galvanised pattern-rolled sheet metal.
macerating units
Our three macerating units enable us to offer a suitable solution to almost any chopping challenge we are presented with.
Rotary Lobe Pumps
Börger Rotary Lobe Pumps are ideally suited for pumping any type of fluid thanks to their wide variety of material and equipment details.
BUTTING – Big variety of pipe fittings
BUTTING – Big variety of pipe fittings Besides the production of longitudinally welded pipes, BUTTING also undertakes the manufacture of a big variety of pipe fittings, like reducers, tees, collars, elbows and branches. This enables our customers to also take advantage of this possibility. The fittings are either produced from our high quality pipes or from plates pro- duced by renowned European steel mills. The pipe fittings are mainly made to order in non-standard sizes and special alloys, however, we also keep a big stock of more than 3 500 different standard products. The combination of pipes and pipe fittings in the acknowledged BUTTING quality, as well as prefabricated special components guarantee optimum cost effectiveness and reliability. BUTTING – Progress by Tradition
BUTTING – Collars
Slip-on collars and welding neck collars without bevel up to PN 10 similar to DIN 2642 are made at BUTTING in a semi-automatic process. Collars up to NB 400 are produced in bulk quantities continuously from coil or from plate, if non-standard sizes and small quantities are required. As regards bigger sizes up to NB 1 000, cold formed angles from plate are used to make the welded collars. Slip-on collars and welding neck collars are available ex stock and are suitable for the standard pipes we keep in stock regularly.
BUTTING – Noise reducing pipes
At the end of the seventies BUTTING was asked by customers from the petro- chemical industry to develop a noise reducing pipe for pneumatic conveyor systems. During the transport of plastic granulars and production speeds of 10–40 m/sec noise levels of up to 120 dB are caused, especially when the granulars hit the walls of the elbows. An insulation of the pipelines from the outside did not prove successful, as the heat input via the pipe wall would have caused melting of the granulars, resulting in the formation of a film on the pipe walls. The problem was solved successfully by using double wall pipes and elbows. The result was impressing. The gap between the inner and outer pipe caused a noise reduction of more than 15 %, e. g. from 115 dB down to 95 dB, measured by an independent institute at the chemical plant of Erdölchemie in Dormagen. Noise reducing pipes can be supplied in outside diameters from NB 50 up to NB 300. Imagination and the willingness to comply with the customers' special requirements have provided reliable and cost effective life veins in modern plants.
BUTTING – Tees and branches
Tees and branches are made from the high quality BUTTING pipe. The branches are made by drawing, pressing or welding. The tolerances, type of construction and testing of the either butt-welded tees or saddles can be chosen from the DIN 2615/2609, ASTM standards or customers' specifications. Branches can be made either acc. to DIN 2619 (shoe) or extruded according to specified dimensions. For saddles the overall length is acc. to DIN 2618. We have a nice, restricted stock of tees and saddles.

CSD 30 - 30 Minutes Continuous Sampling
A continuous sampling device independent of ambient pressure: compact, lightweight, operated by rechargeable battery, ultra-simple operation. With the CSD 30, the filling time for the sampling bag is extended to thirty minutes. The filling takes place continuously by evacuation of the interior and, within a range of 150 mbar (negative) pressure, is independent of the pressure conditions at the sampling site. The CSD is also available with filling times of 5, 10 and 15 minutes. For these we offer special appropriate nozzle connections, which are fast to exchange without tools.
Filtersystem
The filtering system connects the oil-free compressor or the compressed gas cylinder and the olfactometer. It is filled with silica gel, activated carbon, filtering wool and a microfine filter to separate moisture, organic compounds and dust. The aim is to obtain unpolluted reference/zero air. Technical data for the filtering system Overall length: 510 mm Length of column: 340 mm Diameter: 135 mm Weight: 4 kg Pressure: max. 4 bar, pressure control valve Filling materials: Silica gel, activated carbon, wool, and a microfine filter
Sampling Device
1. Standard sampling device The standard tool for odour sampling: compact, lightweight, operated by rechargeable battery, ultra-simple operation. The negative pressure at the probe cross-section is max. 180 mbar. The filling time for an odour sample approx. 8.5-litre in volume takes between thirty and sixty seconds, depending on the ambient pressure. Battery operation lasts for about twenty samples. Weight: 4.5 kg. Length: 685 mm; diameter: 152 mm. Includes special-purpose charger with jack plug and automatic switch-off.
Unventilated sampling hoods
These hoods allow defined sampling on area sources through which air flows with very low escape speeds (such as biofilters & ventilated compost stacks). The exhaust air volume flow is conducted and collected via the hood and the chimney. A wind guard collar reduces the susceptibility to cross wind at the chimney outlet, thus keeping the flow conditions in the chimney constant. In two parts (hood & chimney). Easy to transport. Fast to assemble.
