Variable Area Flowmeter VA Master FAM540
The flowmeter operation is based on the variable area principle. They can be utilized for measuring the flow of liquids, steam and gases, especially when aggressive or opaque fluids are to be metered. They are indispensable where high pressure and/or high temperature operating conditions exist. The stainless steel primaries as well as the PTFE liner primaries are proven in many applications even under hardest conditions. Primary instrument designs: FAM541 Standard-line with flange connections FAM544 Hygienic design FAM545 with PTFE-liner for aggressive fluids FAM546 with Steam jacket for temperature sensitve fluids All devices are available as analog indicator with or without alarms as well as electronic transmitter with 4-20 mA , HART and NAMUR contact outputs and optionally with a graphical display. They can be used in all hazardous areas in flameproof, intrinsic safety or non sparking design.

More information can be found in the brochure (PDF) This product is also available for hire.
SoundPatrol Series
Enforcement of local noise ordinances requires field testing of noise levels and documentation of measurement results, particularly in the event a citation is issued. The need exists for a simple system that requires minimal training to be easily deployed in the field by law enforcement personnel. The system must provide credible data and convenient methods for field calibration and printing of test results in the field. The solution is the Sound Patrol DP 1200 (Class 1) and the SoundPatrol DP 2200 (Class 2) integrating sound level meters with digital printing capabilities. Both meters are rugged, high-quality devices and users will quickly learn to confidently perform a pre-test field calibration, take a valid noise sample, perform a post-test calibration check and generate printed results using the system’s convenient belt-worn portable printer.
Thermal Environment Monitors
App-Tek Safety offers the full range of QUEST thermal environment monitors. In all QUEST thermal environment monitors, a dry bulb sensor measures ambient temperature; a wet bulb sensor takes into account evaporative cooling, giving an indication of the effects of humidity on an individual; and a globe sensor provides an indication of the radiant heat exposure on an individual due to either direct light or hot objects in an environment. Each of these measurements are converted to a simplified, single number indoor and outdoor WBGT Index. Datalogging and non-datalogging models are available, in addition to an optional relative humidity sensor and detachable air velocity probe on some models.

Horizontal Centrifugal Pumps
Argal horizontal centrifugal pumps are manifactured with thermoplastic polimers of ample chemical resistance, no metallic part in touch with the liquid and electric motor power proportional to the specific weight of the liquid pumped such that the hydraulic performance the pump is capable to deliver can be exploited to the fullest. These pumps are designed to be flooded at all times.
Vertical Centrifugal Pumps
Argal sump pumps are centrifugal pumps with vertical axle, column and casing submerged, electric motor long coupled to pump by mean of its own stool or short coupled directly to the pump; are always actuated with an electric motor placed well above the liquid to be pumped. No metallic part is ever in contact with the fluid pumped; designed to pump aggressive chemical liquids are characterised, even in the smaller details, by constructive solutions conceived to maximise service life and functionality.

AM 2500 snow loader
Faster snow removal and less strain on the environment AM 2500 is a very cost-efficient snow loader, because you can simultaneously remove and load snow during snow clearance. It decreases your costs dramatically because it is twice as fast as bucket loading. It also reduces both snow piling and strain on the environment.
Swivelling front -mounted ploughs for trucks AM H range
Environmental snow clearance The AM H range swivelling front-mounted ploughs are designed for ploughing with trucks and other road maintenance equipment. The cylindershaped wing enables proper snow ejection even at low speeds, which makesthis plough an ideal choice for urban areas. The conical wing enhances snow ejection in high-speed ploughing. You can equip the H range ploughs with elastic polyurethane blades, which substantially reduces ploughing noise and vibration. You can also equip them with double blades, which improves ploughing efficiency enormously.
AGAR® IFAS
Intensive Nitrogen Removal within new or existing plants The AGAR® IFAS (Integrated Fixed film Activated Sludge) configuration utilizes the complex interactions between a bio-film on the Biomass Carriers and suspended biomass in the activated sludge. This co-existence creates a specialized and highly concentrated nitrifying bio-film on the Aqwise Biomass Carriers, acting simultaneously with the organic carbon oxidation by the activated sludge. This process principle is to introduce biomass carriers into the activated sludge, thereby allowing the activated sludge to remove most of the BOD, while allowing the biofilm to develop a microbiological population that oxidizes ammonium compounds. The AGAR® IFAS is particularly well suited for retrofitting existing plants in order to add nitrification capacity, as well as increasing carbonaceous BOD removal, without any additional tank volume. The IFAS process can also be utilized in newly designed plants. An AGAR® IFAS reactor is typically divided into a series of process stages that include aerobic, anoxic and anaerobic volumes, in a similar way to some well known BNR configurations. In AGAR® IFAS biomass carriers are filled in the aerobic stages. The carriers are retained by screens located at the effluent end of the process stage, and by a hydraulic effect called a "carrier barrier" at the influent end. The heart of the IFAS process lies in the competition between microorganisms growing in the liquid sludge, and those growing on the Carriers. As the suspended biomass has an absolute advantage over the fixed biomass in soluble BOD assimilation, the biomass developing on the Carriers consists almost entirely of nitrifying bacteria. As a result, the same tank contains two different microbiological populations executing completely different functions, thereby greatly increasing the treatment potential within the same volume. By using advanced modeling and in-depth process design tools, the size, location and quantity of biomass carriers in each of the process stage can be accurately determined to achieve extremely precise nutrient removal. The AGAR® IFAS process is the perfect solution for upgrading existing plants to Biological Nutrient Removal, without adding reactor volume. In addition, the IFAS process can be used to increase plant treatment capacity with no addition of tankage.

Aqua Jet® Surface Aerator
The Aqua-Jet® surface mechanical aerator may possibly be the most imitated waste water aerator in the world. But, as with other manufactured products, copies never equal the original in terms of reliability and durability. Vibration Controlled Design The continuous heavy-duty operating life of rotating equipment, such as a wastewater aerator, demands a vibration-limiting design that will assure smooth operation long after the unit has been installed. The velocity must be controlled to 0.3in/sec. or less. If this limitation is not met, early machine failure is inevitable. Proper design and the use of the highest quality materials have made the Aqua-Jet aerator the most durable and reliable wastewater aerator in the industry. On properly maintained units, Aqua-Jet aerators outlast other aerators 2 to 1. On poorly maintained aerators, Aqua-Jet aerators outlast other aerators by more than a 3 to 1 margin. Scheduled maintenance consists only of motor bearing lubrication 2-4 times per year, depending on motor size.
Aqua MixAir® Aeration Systems
The Aqua MixAir® system provides separate mixing with the AquaDDM® Direct Drive Mixer and an aeration source such as the Aqua-Jet® surface aerator or Aqua-Aerobic diffused aeration. The system has the capability to cyclically operate aeration and mixing to promote anoxic/aerobic and anaerobic environments with low energy consumption.

636HS
The 636HS is an evolution of the highly-successful 525HS. It was designed for customers who wanted bigger payload and more suction power for picking up heavier debris. The 636HS had to be small enough and light enough to sweep sidewalks and paved areas. It needed the sweeping performance and capacity previously only found in much bigger sweepers. ...and it needed to travel from one job to another - quickly.
