Corrugated tubes heat exchangers
Turbulence is the main factor in thermal transfer. HRS has designed different geometries to increase thermal efficiency in tubular heat exchangers by means of corrugation, both inner and outer tubes. This innovation has the following benefits: Reduces thermal treatment time in food applications. Reduces the product volume contained in the heat exchanger. Reduces fouling. Reduces the heat exchanger volume and weight. Our aim is to improve the efficiency of current geometries.
DTI Series. Industrial double tube heat exchanger
The DTI type heat exchanger is a double tube heat exchanger (tube within a tube). The inner tube has a hard corrugation for increasing the heat transfer. The product flows through the inner tube and the service fluid through the annulus between the inner and outer tube. Due to the interior cross section the DTI type heat exchanger is suitable for: Fluids that contain fibres or other types of solid particles. Fluids of low to intermediate viscosities and non Newtonian fluids..
Piston pump
The piston pump is a hydraulically operated positive displacement pump that transfers mechanical energy as pressure energy. The piston pump has been designed with the aim of being the pumping solution for those processes where products with particles need to be pumped (fruit dices for instance) with a low shear rate. The principle of operation is based on the movement of a double effect piston which is powered by a hydraulic cylinder which provides the necessary power to move the piston. An open separator chamber seals off the product chamber from the oil system thus preventing any contact between the hydraulic oil and the product. The hydraulic cylinder is connected to a separate hydraulic power unit which gives the advantage that the pump can be located anywhere in the installation with the hydraulic power unit located remotely. The piston pump is designed to operate in a wide range of applications due to the following features: It is able to pump products with particles (particulates) that are sensitive to shear stress (low shear rate) It is able to pump whole fruits and vegetables, slices and diced fruit It has a hygienic design It CIP cleans effectively Standard design temperature: 120 °C It can work under vacuum
Unicus® Dynamic Scraped Surface Heat Exchanger
Unicus® Dynamic Scraped Surface Heat Exchanger The Unicus® is a dynamic scraped surface heat exchanger with a unique scraped surface action which optimises the heat exchange area by increasing the heat transfer coefficient by the combined action of: A reduction in fouling (self cleaning heat exchanger). An increase in turbulence due to the continuous reciprocating movement of the scraping elements. The advantages that this heat exchanger presents when compared to other rotating scraped heat exchangers are: An increase in continuous running time with a smaller number of shutdowns. More competitive than other scraped heat exchangers given a much larger surface area. Lower induced shear stress in the Product than rotating scraped heat exchangers. Product particle integrity is maintained in food applications. Lower maintenance costs. Large heat transfer areas (up to 100 m2). Can be used in many different applications such as: Protein Industry Bakery and Confectionery Dairy Beverages Fruits and Vegetables Convenience food Pharmaceutical Personal care Environment

Cabins
More and more often, LOGLIFT and JONSERED cranes are ordered equipped with a cabin. Particularly in cold and wet conditions, a cabin significantly increases both working comfort and safety. Cabins can be equipped with a broad range of accessories, from stereos to air conditioning.
Recycling cranes
JONSERED cranes are the number one in their field in handling scrap metal and recycled waste, where accuracy and durability is required from a crane, in addition to power. JONSERED’s balanced hydraulics allow smooth and easy movements, which reduce the stress on the crane and increase its service life. It is well known among professionals in the field that these are the decisive characteristics in everyday work.
Energy & climate
Reduction of energy use is a much discussed issue today. The first step is to prepare an energy assessment. This is something in which Hifab has a leading edge in, especially in the field of energy and climate. We are assisting our custumers to achieve a more efficient use of energy in public premises, privately owned properties, and operating plants.
Forms of contracting
Hifab provides all forms of contract available on the market. The form of contract to be selected is dependent on the customer’s preferences and the prevailing circumstances of the project/market. In addition to traditional forms of contract, such as general contracts, co-ordinated general contracts, shared contracts or turnkey contracts, we are also working with other forms of contracts that require the expertise of our organisation.
Sludge Dewatering & Thickening
HILLER is setting benchmarks for the application of high-performance decanters on wastewater treatment plants. Our DecaPress series has been developed for maximum cake dryness at high throughputs and significantly reduced polymer consumption. For sludge thickening our DecaThick series is used, achieving highest solids capture rates, in most cases even without polymer. Apart from manufacturing decanter centrifuges we at HILLER also assist our clients in regard to the optimal plant design and the choice of ancillary equipment. We will be pleased to carry out the design and the realisation of the entire dewatering/thickening plant. Process Engineering Large diameter/length ratio of 1:4,2 and more Centrifugal acceleration of 3000 – 5200 x 'g', depending on bowl diameter Fluid dynamically optimised design of feed and discharge zones Customised designs available to meet individual sludge requirements Economy & Quality Little operator attendance required Highest cake dryness minimizes disposal costs

GORATRON Grinder Pumps
Pressure drainage by high-capacity GORATRON submersible grinder pumps Normally in residential areas with low population figures or complicated territorial circumstances the costs for waste water systems are extremely high as they require pipelines with large cross sections. The GORATRON grinder pumps represent a reasonable technical alternative. They reduce in split seconds the solids in the waste water and by this way the costs for special material and piping systems. GORATRON pumps are suited for clear and foul water as well as for waste water with solids and fibres. The special form of the cutting device catapults all foreign substances, which cannot be reduced, away from the suction hole thus hindering them from entering the cutting machinery. The installation of piping systems as of size DN 32 is possible without problems. Shaft made of chrome steel with permanently lubricated rolling bearings. Sealing by two mechanical seals (as of pump type Goratron 20) - silicon carbide/silicon carbide and carbon graphite/chrome steel. Fully submersible pressure proof motors. On request also available in Ex-design and with temperature control for the winding. Impeller as open multi-channel impeller with cutting device made of steel for reducing the solids. Both transportable and stationary pumps are available in standard design.
NSG Submersible Pumps
Reliable waste water disposal requires a safe and reliable technology. For this purpose we developed our pump range NSG. The NSG submersible pumps handle domestic, municipal and industrial waste water, sewage and slurries. Due to their large pump openings they are also able to transport foul water with high solid or fibre quantities. Pump houses with pressure connections of DN 80, DN 100, DN 150 or DN 200 are available with torque-flow impellers and closed single- and multi-channel impellers. The shaft bearing of these pumps consists of wear resistant and permanently lubricated rolling bearings. Two independently acting mechanical seals in tandem formation made of the material combinations silicon carbide/silicon carbide and carbon graphite/chrome steel with oil filled sealing room ensure the safe sealing of the pump.
Waste Water Technology
