About Ultraviolet (UV) Light and Water Quality
Confidence in our water -- clean, safe water -- has been increasingly challenged over the past decade. Ten years ago, how many of us had heard of E. coli, Cryptosporidium or Giardia? Today, these waterborne bacteria and parasites are almost as well known as polio, typhoid, and cholera were to a past generation. High-profile, waterborne disease outbreaks in Canada and the United States have made us all aware that water contaminated with microorganisms can cause serious illness and death.
TrojanUV3000™B
An upgrade of the original TrojanUV3000™, the TrojanUV3000™B is the most installed UV wastewater system in the world. The UV3000B offers an effective UV disinfection solution for larger-sized treatment plants with limited resources. The system uses low-pressure, low-output lamps. Customers * Municipal Wastewater plants * Water Reuse applications * Industrial Wastewater applications * Bathing Area Recirculation * Fish Hatcheries Characteristics * Automatic level control * Electronic ballasts and enclosures * Optional cleaning tank * Peak flows of 1 to 5 MGD (160 to 800 m³/hr) * Low-pressure, low-output lamps * Manual cleaning If you would like to learn more about the TrojanUV3000™ B or if you would like to contact your local Trojan representative, click here.
TrojanUV3000Plus™
TrojanUV3000Plus™ Designed as one of the most intelligent disinfection solutions on the market, the TrojanUV3000Plus™ features fully Automatic Chemical/Mechanical cleaning (ActiClean™) to ensure the lamp sleeves are continuously kept clean. Incorporating high-output, low-pressure lamps, the system automatically dims the lamps to match any drop in flow demand or increases in water clarity. Customers * Municipalities with populations between 25,000 and 300,000 people. Characteristics * Peak flows of 5 to 20 MGD (800 to 3200 m³/hr) * High-output, low-pressure cost-saving amalgam lamps * Hydraulic System Center * ActiClean™ - Automatic Chemical/Mechanical cleaning system * Flow and dose pacing
TrojanUVSwift™ECT
The TrojanUVSwift™ECT utilizes Trojan's high-intensity medium pressure lamps and employs sophisticated controls to optimize the treatment of environmental contaminants. The broad spectrum of light emitted in the TrojanUVSwift ECT makes it extremely well-suited for the treatment of many contaminants, particularly certain pesticides and taste and odor-causing compounds found in surface waters. Its ultra-compact footprint and large flow capacity make it an excellent reactor for use as part of a multi-barrier system in large municipal applications. In such applications, the TrojanUVSwift ECT destroys contaminants such as pharmaceuticals and taste and odor-causing compounds while providing disinfection of microorganisms such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia. Characteristics * The most compact UV reactor available * Validated disinfection * Applicable for ECT in drinking water, groundwater remediation, and industrial applications * Capable of treating hundreds of millions of gallons per day * Available in a variety of power configurations * Designed for hydraulic efficiency using computational fluid dynamics * All wetted surfaces constructed of NSF-listed materials * Integrated (via control algorithms) with the hydrogen peroxide delivery system to provide UV-oxidation * Available with Trojan Acticlean™, a chemical/mechanical wiper mechanism for maximization of quartz sleeve transmittance For more information, please contact Adam Festger at afestger@trojanuv.com.

Pressure and Temperature Regulators
The range of Pressure Regulators and Pressure and Temperature Regulators have many different functions in both commercial and industrial refrigeration and air conditioning applications, such as: capacity regulation, crankcase pressure regulation, receiver pressure regulation, evaporation pressure regulation and condensing pressure regulation. The range also contains Liquid Distributors, Pilot Valves, Motorized Valves, Oil Regulating Valves and Overflow Valves.
Safety Valves
The valves are especially designed for protection of components against excessive pressure and to meet the strict quality demands and safety requirements for industrial refrigeration installations, specified by international classification societies.
Thermostatic Expansion Valves
Thermostatic Expansion Valves are available as parts programme, i.e. with separate valve body and orifice assemblies, or as complete valves (fixed orifice). The category also contains Thermostatic Injection Valves.
Water Valves
Pressure controlled water valves are used for regulating the flow of water in refrigeration plants with water-cooled condensers. The water valves give modulating regulation of the condensing pressure and so maintain it constant during operation. When the refrigeration plant is stopped, the cooling water flow is shut off automatically.
DoseRAE, DoseRAE-P
DoseRAE is a rugged, lightweight, direct-reading electronic personal dosimeter that provides superior dose monitoring accuracy.
MiniRAE 3000
The MiniRAE 3000 is the most advanced handheld volatile organic compound (VOC) on the market. Its Photoionization Detector’s (PID) extended range of 0 to 15,000 ppm makes it an ideal instrument for applications from industrial hygiene, to leak and hazmat detection..
MultiRAE Plus
The MultiRAE Plus is a compact one-to-five gas monitor that combines a PID with O2, LEL, and two toxic gas sensors. Its case allows quick and easy access to the battery and sensors simply by using a coin. With ATEX, UL, and CUL approvals, it provides protection in Homeland Security, HazMat, and emergency response, and is wirelessly enabled providing real-time data transmissions to a remote host controller up to two miles away.
QRAE II Pump
The QRAE II is a full-featured, compact, one- to four-sensor gas detector for oxygen, combustibles, hydrogen sulfide, carbon monoxide or sulfur dioxide.
Combined heat and power plants
Our 4–100 MW combined heat and power (CHP) plants incorporate both power and heat generation. The system for heat generation, producing either low-pressure steam, hot water or both, trigeneration, etc. is optimized for the customer’s needs and requirements.
Gas power plants
Our gas power plants are designed for optimal performance in a wide variety of decentralized power production in both intermediate and baseload applications, giving full output and high perfomance in hot and dry conditions as well as at high altitudes.
Hot water generation
Wärtsilä gas and heavy fuel oil engines are very well suited for hot water generation or district heating applications. The Wärtsilä CHP plant is connected to the customer's hot water or district heating system and operates efficiently and flexibly, producing both power and heat in parallel with other hot water generators connected to the customer's system.
Renewable energy solutions
Wärtsilä and Metso form joint venture for renewable energy solutionsWärtsilä and Metso have signed a contract to form a joint venture combining Metso’s Heat & Power business (a business unit within Metso Power) and Wärtsilä’s Biopower business.
