Compact C Range
The Compact C Range of progressing cavity pumps has been manufactured by Mono to offer you a pump designed to fit into compact spaces, whilst reliably performing to the maximum duty requirements of your application. Features include good suction lift capability of over 8 metres, positive displacement for process control and variable speed for accurate dosing.
PC Pumps
The progressing cavity pump principle is ideal for handling liquids that can be slurries, viscous, shear sensitive, 2 or 3 phase mixtures or when applications require, significant suction lift capabilities. The principle inherent in the pump design is ideally suited for both low to high flow applications. The heart of the Mono pump is the rotor and stator. As the single helix rotor revolves eccentrically within the double helix of the stator, a continuous cavity is formed and progresses towards the discharge end of the pump as the rotor rotates. Mono manufacture a large number of different pump ranges totalling in excess of 120 pump models, with flows ranging from 10 l/h up to 420,000 l/h. Differential pressures up to 48 bar are easily handled and for special applications, higher pressure pump designs up to 72 bar can be offered. The design principle also allows for the development of multi-stage pumps that increase the pressure handling capabilities.
Screens & Extractors
Mono has been successfully manufacturing and installing screens since 1991 to provide effective and reliable screening for inlet works, storm overflows, pump stations and water abstraction intakes. We offer an alternative to the traditional and older mesh, bar and drum screens. The self-cleaning L Series Discreen® is ideal for heavy duty screening and, by combining a Discreen with a Muncher, you have the option of keeping all macerated and screened residue in the main flow, eliminating removal costs. A complete extraction package is also available, comprising a Discreen/Muncher combination with screenings removal, compaction and dewatering. The flow powered Stormscreen is a screen that requires no electrical installation or running costs. Designed as an economic solution for storm overflows at inlet and chamber applications, this new design of screen offers you low maintenance combined with efficient and effective screening
Widethroat W Range
The Widethroat W Range has been designed to handle highly viscous materials, such as sludges, slurries, thick non-flowing pastes and de-watered sludge cake with viscosities up to 1,000,000cP. The standard design consists of an enlarged rectangular inlet with a screw conveyor to assist the product into the pumping element. Options are available to modify the inlet with either large diameter augers, integral bridge breakers or both. The range is based on single, two, four, six and eight stage pumps that can develop pressures up to 48 bar and capacities up to 215m³/h.

Industrial bioreactors
The provIision of wastewater treatment systems for complex industrial wastewaters is the mainstay of Microbac’s business. Unlike sewage, industrial wastewaters from many industrial processes contain a cocktail of recalcitrant organic compounds that require considerably more retention time in the biological zone of the treatment plant to ensure that they are fully degraded. Data to support the sizing of a treatment plant for these complex wastewaters can be provided by laboratory and / or pilot Bioreactor trials. The latter can provide valuable assistance in validating the design of the treatment plant by determining the optimum retention times and degradation rates of the constituent organic molecules. Microbac’s biological cultures are also used in the trials and, during the course of the work, these formulations may be modified to promote more rapid biodegradation rates and to optimise the overall performance of the Bioreactor unit. Treatment plants can be supplied in carbon steel or stainless steel, or they can be constructed in concrete, where appropriate.
Membrane bioreactor
The Microbac Membrane Bioreactor combines Microbac’s submerged aerated fixed-film Bioreactor and hollow fibre filtration membranes to produce a very small footprint treatment unit suitable for municipal sewage and a wide range of industrial wastewaters. The Membrane Bioreactor degrades harmful organics and ammonia and removes suspended solids to produce a discharge better than the most stringent standards, typically less than 5:5:5::BOD:SS: ammonia. At the same time, the process disinfects the wastewater so that it is available for reuse or harmless discharge in the most sensitive receiving waters

Package sewage treatment plants
Skid mounted sewage treatment packages based on submerged, aerated fixed-film technology can be provided for the treatment of domestic and commercial wastewaters arising from accommodation complexes and mass catering establishments. The relatively small footprint offers benefits where space is at a premium, e.g. on oil platforms and ships. Microbac has installed treatment plants for small housing developments, MOD training camps, for accommodation blocks on offshore and onshore oil and gas platforms and on shipping. Plants can be constructed to survive and function at a wide range of ambient temperatures, including environments where temperatures can reach as low as -50 degrees Centigrade and as high as +60 degrees Centigrade.
MRT Compact Crush and Separation Plant
The Compact Crush and Separation Plant is a unique and self-contained processing system for the recycling of all types of discarded fluorescent lamps. The space saving plant is easy to install, relocate, and the concept creates operating conditions which meets even the toughest environmental standards. The entire system is enclosed in a 20ft container, in which the air is brought to sub-pressure, thus preventing mercury being released into the environment. The exhaust air is constantly discharged through the internal carbon filters. The plant is fully automatic, and easy to operate and has a proven capacity which reaches 350 kg of processed materials per hour.
MRT Crush and Sieve Plant
The MRT Crush and Sieve Plant is designed for processing large quantities of discarded fluorescent lamps very safely, efficiently and in accordance with the strictest environmental regulations. This MRT implementation run by only one person is a flexible, reliable and cost-effective solution with a proven capacity of more than 6000 tubes per hour. The plant meets all requirements from current environmental directives. Each component operates as individual parts of an enclosed system. This feature enables a great degree of flexibility in assembly as each unit can be positioned and mounted substantially independently of the other. The plant can be accommodated in an area as small as 100m² depending on the layout
MRT Standard Distiller
Designed for processing all kinds of lamp waste, electrical devices, mercury button cell batteries etc. Funcional description: A batch of mercury bearing waste is placed in the vaccuum chamber. When the appropriate program is selected, the waste material is treated in a fully automatic process, making it extremely safe and efficient. Heat is applied causing the mercury to vaporize. The organic particles carried by the gases are oxidised in the post combustion chamber prior to entering the highly efficient cooling traps, where the mercury condenses into free floating liquid mercury.
