Recycling at the highest technological level
In order to achieve a high substantial utilisation quota, the latest process technology is necessary. In the worldwide only plant for the recycling of PU foam cans in Thurnau, the cans are mechanically shredded out of contact with air. The liquid contents and the metal can parts (aluminium and tin plate) drop into a solvent bath. A rinsing screw brings them out again and they are pre-washed with the aid of rinsing jets. Further washing stages follow. A metal cutter sorts out the cleaned and dried aluminium and tin plate. The produced PUR solvent mixture is filtered several times and separated between PUR and solvent. The propellants are extracted above the shredder and filled into pressure cylinders. The plastic tops of the cans are available coarsely ground for the plastic processing.
Recycling of HP inkjet print cartridges
European partner of Hewlett Packard Since 2002, PDR is European partner of Hewlett-Packard (HP) for the take-back programme and the recycling of inkjet print cartridges. Presently, HP takes over the collection of the inkjet print cartridges in Europe. PDR -.together with their logistic partners – transports them from the depots in the different countries to Thurnau. Upon arrival at PDR, the inkjet print cartridges – sorted and separated according to the type – are sent through the recycling facility to guarantee a high degree of purity of the obtained secondary raw materials. During the multi-stage recycling process, precious metals, high-quality plastics (polysulfone) and steel are recovered as secondary raw materials. HP, the Bavarian Institute for Applied Environmental Research (BIfA) and PDR developed and optimized a special recycling technology for inkjet cartridges together over a one-year preparatory period and built the adequate recycling facility on the premises of PDR.
CARDBOARD PRESS 500+
For The Cardboard press 500+ is the ideal machine for the collection of cardboard on public places as recycling collection points, supermarkets, petrol stations, etc.
MULTIPACK Vertical baling presses
These multi-role presses are easy to use and ensure optimum compaction and a tidy waste site. The material is compressed into bales that are easy to stack. Indispensable for all companies that accumulate bulky material.
MULTIPRESS Press container
At Pöttinger quality is a trademark. This is reflected in each stage of the manufacturing process. Careful selection of materials, state-of-the-art fabrication systems, quality control and highly-skilled specialists speak for themselves. That is how we can make sure that we only deliver first-class quality products designed for a long service life. On top of that there is the versatility of the handling system and the smart design of the container. With Pöttinger you know what you've got.
SHREDDER AND BRIQUETTING PRESS
Up to 200 kg of material can disappear into the hopper every hour. The briquetting press switches off automatically once the hopper is empty. The briquetting press cuts everything to shreds. The robust, powerful blades can even handle whole files full of paper. The hopper can hold up to around 50 files. The standard model is filled with waste paper manually and with ease thanks to a built in access platform. The briquetting press switches off automatically when you step on the platform, and switches back on again when you get off. The briquettes are pushed along a channel straight into the stillage

Flocculation Agent Preparation - Roedos
In order to mechanically condition sludge, poly-electrolytes are added to the sludge. The Roedos is a compact plant for the preparation and dosage of these poly-electrolytes. Advantages of the Roedos: Universal use. Suitable for all poly-electrolytes, whether solid or liquid Stock solution can be used for longer time Can be exactly dosed, even during power outages Requires little space High-quality material (stainless steel) Completely automated Optimally economical Capacity 600-9000 l/h After the addition of poly-electrolytes to the sludge, the Roefilt or Roebelt is used to thicken, or the Roepress, Duodrain, chamber filter press or centrifuge are used to dewater the sludge.
Mechanical Treatment
In the first step of the process, the delivered waste is treated mechanically: At this stage, – depending on the process concept – the following process steps are used: Crushing Sorting Mixing Homogenization Transport Mechanical treatment fulfills the following goals: Removal of existing valuable materials: iron metals, plastics, for example Separation of problematic materials which could block operation Removal of harmful substances Separation of non-biodegradable fractions for material or thermal use Optimal conditioning of organically rich fractions for subsequent biological treatment
Process Water Production
Process Water Production Process water can be produced from the natural water resources subjected to mechanical clarification in combination with physico-chemical pre-treatment processes, or from advanced wastewater purification processes. Furthermore , we offer the whole range of additional treatment stages that may be required to produce process water in a quality requested and defined by the Customer. Physico-chemical raw water treatment Softening/decarbonisation Partial desalination and demineralisation Membrane process Advanced wastewater clarification processes
Sludge Drying
Sludge is dried in order to reduce the sludge mass to approx. 10 % of its original amount. The Roediger sludge drying process can be ordered with direct or indirect drum dryer units. Evaporative capacity begins at approx. 400 kg/h. From cost factor to trading goods (Advantages of Passavant-Roediger sludge drying). Round, granular structure Pasteurized Rich in nutrients Ideal for use in agriculture and forestry High heating value compared to brown coal, thus good replacement for fuel High shear resistance Thermal sludge drying carried out with the Passavant-Roediger process is an important prerequisite for the safe disposal of sludge. It is a step into the future!

BIOPAQ® IC
With the development of high rate Internal Circulation (IC) reactors, Paques has created the opportunity for industries with limited available space to treat their effluent, and in addition, both noise and odour issues have been addressed. Anaerobic effluent treatment with efficiently designed BIOPAQ® IC-reactors has become a proven technology, with hundreds of examples worldwide in various industrial sectors.
THIOPAQ® gas desulphurization
Many industries produce gas and air streams containing H2S. For reasons of health, safety and corrosion removal of H2S is required. Paques’ THIOPAQ® technology is the best method for H2S removal combining deep H2S removal, a very high reliability and availability, and low lifecycle cost.
Booster Pumps
Papantonatos booster pumps use the technology developed to fit narrow wells. In a similar manner they can be adapted into an existing pipeline to operate as a booster pump. A Papantonatos submersible pump installed inside a custom designed pressure casing offers the following advantages: - The unit can easily be installed in-line in a pipe (horizontally or vertically). - The compact size requires little space and can be fitted into an existing pipe system. - All bearings are water lubricated; no oil or grease can contaminate drinking water or other pumping medium. The units are maintenance and trouble free. - The pump can operate in various modes: continuous duty, automatic stop-start or continuous variable speed by frequency control. - The encapsulated unit runs quietly - an important advantage for use in high density areas. It can operate in any environment; the design eliminates potential damage from floods or leaks and vandalism. - Papantonatos submersible pump program covers a wide range. The modular design allows a variable number of stages maximizing flexibility
