The members of Kexport Cluster, an association of Hungarian environmental protection companies, aims to double their combined export revenue to HUF 8bn-9bn within five years, the association’s chairman Istvan Ori said at a press conference on Tuesday.
Kexport Cluster was established last May with 14 members. It has since grown to include 18 members, but the number is expected to reach 26 by the time its two-year HUF 30m European Union grant runs out, Mr Ori said.
Kexport Cluster’s 18 members had combined revenue of HUF 15bn in 2010. Exports generated two-thirds of revenue.
Members are active in waste management, water management and laboratory work, among other areas.
