Siemens is to develop one ecofriendly combined-cycle power plant in Hungary and will employ 500+ people during the construction phrase and then 50+ jobs once the construction has finished. The project will cost in the region of EUR 1 billion and will be in the Hungarian city of Szeged. Once in operation, each location will provide jobs for about 50 highly qualified personnel on a long-term basis, Siemens said in a statement. Construction will begin in 2012 and be completed in 2015.
The ecofriendly combined-cycle power plant in Hungary will meet the highest standards in emissions and water consumption. The Szeged plant will provide a capacity of 880 megawatts. Siemens AG is a global powerhouse in Environmental technologies generating over EUR 23. billion - nearly one-third of its total revenue - from green products and solutions.
