CIMC opens production plant in Poland

China International Marine Containers (CIMC), founded in 1980 and currently China’s largest trailer producer, has expanded into Poland by opening a production plant in Gdynia. CIMC Trailer Polska will begin by employing a ‘few dozen’ workers as they look to grow in an exciting market.

Steven Feng, managing director of CIMC Trailer Polska, has said “The region of Central and Eastern Europe is a very promising market, which is why we are planning to continue to grow here. Poland, as the biggest country in the region and a significant partner in international transport, was the natural choice for us. Gdynia is the best location due to the proximity of well-developed road and port infrastructure and the labour market”.
