RWE to expand wind power portfolio in Poland

RWE Innogy will start development work on their 7th wind farm, Opalenica, in Poland this week. The plant, producer Nordex will construct 7 wind power turbines with a capacity of 2.4 megawatts (MW) each in the region of Poznan. Overall , the wind farm is going to have an installed capacity of around seventeen MW, which will provide the equivalent of around 21 ,000 Polish homes with green electricity annually. Complete commissioning is planned for the end of 2015.
