Urban wastes continue to be a problem for the environment in Albania.

Meanwhile, the most delicate zones are the rivers outfalls, where are deposited all the wastes carried along by the river flow. Deputy Minister of Environment, Forestry and Water Administration, Taulant Bino said, “Albanian coast suffers the consequences of mismanagement of the wastes. Ishem River is one of the most problematic, because it crosses several cities and communes that mismanage the wastes”.
