Czech power group CEZ's Polish subsidiary CEZ Poland Distribution has signed agreements to purchase 67% stake in Eco-Wind Construction, a leading Polish wind farm developer, CEZ has said in a communique. The transaction is to be conducted within the nearest time, and its value not be revealed.
"CEZ Poland Distribution B.V. signed contracts on buying 67% share in Eco-Wind Construction S.A., leading Polish wind farm developer. The contracts also predetermined the condition under which CEZ Poland Distribution B.V. could acquire the remaining 33 % share of the company in future", the release reads.
The transaction is to be realised within the nearest time. Information regarding the value of the transaction is to remain undisclosed due to the both parties contractual agreement.
"This transaction is in line with CEZ Group updated strategy which also involves the renewable development (mainly of wind parks) outside the Czech Republic in the countries with favorable wind condition such as Poland, Germany or Romania. The CEZ Group's target is to achieve 3,000 MW of installed renewable capacity in operation by 2016", the company stressed.
In Q1-3/2011, CEZ posted CZK 26.46 bn of consolidated net profit, attributed for main's unit shareholders vs. CZK 40.00 bn profit a year earlier, on the revenue of CZK 150.56 bn vs. CZK 144.39bn.
