According to Samar automotive market research institute last year’s production of passenger cars in Poland fell by 9% to under 900,000 units.
The production level reported after three quarters of 2009 was 20% lower than in a corresponding period of the previous year.
Passenger cars constitute 92% of total annual production in 2009, which is 3.5% less than a year earlier. 47.7% fewer delivery vans were produced in 2009 than in 2008. The majority of produced cars - 816,531 units – were exported in 2009, which marks a decline of 3% over the previous year.
