„Together for green energy” – with this motto the Polish Wind Energy Association (PWEA) will on the next Friday officially join the Polish Coordination Council of Renewable Energy Sources (PCCRES). Moreover, PWEA also plans to engage in close cooperation with the Climate Coalition. This is how green energy entities and ecological organisations intend to strengthen their ranks in the fight for the future of inexpensive, renewable and safe energy. - In our opinion it is crucial for the future of the green energy sector that subjects representing it and ecological organisations engage in joint initiatives and develop joint positions. That way the voice of the renewables industry will be heard both by the rulers and the public opinion. - says Krzysztof Prasałek, President of the Polish Wind Energy Association. Currently RES organisations face similar development constraints, including difficulties with grid connection or frequent legal changes resulting in investment uncertainty. The Polish Wind Energy Association together with other members of the Polish RES Coordination Council intends to adopt a join position concerning the industry’s problems and take action to improve development conditions for green energy. Moreover, PWEA within the PCCRES intends to intensify educational activities as well as activities promoting renewable energy in the Polish society. The tasks are clearly defined – to fulfil the obligations stemming from the EU’s climate and energy package as well as the „3x20%” targets, including the requirement to achieve 15% RES share in the total energy consumption by 2020 and to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
