Switzerland's Advanced Power plans to build a €600 million 880MW combined-cycle power plant in the Hungarian city of Szeged, project manager Adrian Bobula said.
The process of acquiring permits for the plant will start in the summer and construction could start in 2012, Bobula said. The plant could begin operating as soon as 2015, he added. The plant will have a lifespan of at least 25 years. Advanced Power picked Szeged as the site for the plant because of the significant gas storage capacity nearby. (MTI – Econews) |
