The recent recovery of Hungary’s economy seems to attract many potential investors in what is currently still a breeding ground for many West European companies. In a recent announcement, the Hungarian government and Danish pump manufacturer Grundfos, have announced the agreed on terms and signed what was dubbed a “strategic partnership agreement”.
The decision comes as a little surprise, mostly because the cooperation between the government and the company was always seen as something unlikely, always put on the agenda for the next year’s discussions. The state secretary for economic diplomacy, Levente Magyar, explains that the growing trend of the company witnessed in recent years has made room for this historical deal to be reached. The deal will become operative the following year, as a business plan is currently drafted.
