The online marketing giant is going to create 3 warehouses in Poland
Initially , the warehouses are going to support Amazon's German based business Shutterstock
US e-commerce giant Amazon has officially confirmed plans to create a logistics center in Poland .
The organization will launch 2 fulfillment centers in the Poland towards the end of Q3 2014 , with an additional center scheduled to be constructed by mid-2015 .
Poland's Minister of Economy Janusz Piechociński stated , “We are thrilled to officially welcome Amazon to Poland , adding that , “the creation of thousands of jobs is no doubt a milestone in our further economic growth .”
Each one of the Amazon facilities is likely to increase employment by 2 ,000 jobs , with an additional 3 ,000 non permanent jobs becoming available to help with an increase in demand during the holiday periods .
The Polish centers are going to initially serve Amazon's German e-commerce site , although they are going to be gradually incorporated into the remainder of the company's coverage to support its other European sites .
The first two hubs are going to be situated in close proximity to Wrocław and Poznań , whilst the third facility will be opened near to the primary location near Wrocław .
Last week business daily Puls Biznesu reported that each one of the warehouses will cost some zł .50-60 million to build . The warehouses are likely to be leased from Goodman ( 1 warehouse in Wrocław ) and also Panattoni ( one in Wrocław and one in Poznań ).
