Norway plans to give Romania a financial-assistance grant totaling 306 million euros ($381 million) through 2014 to increase the usage of clean energy in the country, the Bucharest-based Economy Ministry said.
The Balkan nation can use the money to finance projects that increase the competitiveness of companies in the renewable energy field and lower pollution levels, according to an e- mailed statement from the ministry today.
