Turnover in Slovenian industry was up 3.3% in 2011 over the year before as the value of new orders rose 4.8%, the Statistics Office said. Revenues in mining and quarrying (2.6%) as well as in manufacturing (3.3%) rose year-on-year. Broken down by main industrial groupings, consumer goods industries saw the biggest rise (5.3%), followed by capital goods industries (3.2%) and intermediate goods industries (2.1%).
