Two solar photovoltaic power plants were unveiled March 8 in northern Bulgaria, newswires reported. The Ministry of Economy, Energy and Tourism said the two plants at Samovodene and Zlataritsa were built by the South Korean companies SDN and KOSEP and the aggregate investment is EUR154m. This is the largest single South Korean investment in the Bulgarian economy.
The two photovoltaic parks have an aggregate output capacity of 42 MW. They can generate an average of 61,320 MWh of electricity annually which will reduce annual carbon dioxide emissions by 26,000 tonnes.
