Development of biomass generation station with the expected power generation of 3.98 MW and thermal power of 15.9 MW continues to be built in Ciecieres parish, Brocenu district (Latvia). Building of the power plant, in addition to supply as well as installing of technology, is going to be supplied by the SIA “UPB Energy”. Customer of the project is SIA “4 ENERGIA”.

The biomass power station is going to yield electric power and thermal energy by burning local, renewable energy resources, for instance like wood-pulp biomass (wood chips, sawdust, together with tree bark). Almost all the generated electrical power is going to be transmitted to the AS “Sadales tikls”, whilst all the provided thermal power is going to be conveniently utilized by the supply of the manufacturing procedure in the pellet manufacturing plant, that is under development next door, hence enabling use of the acquired heat year-round.
