Immochan plans to build shopping centers in CEE

Immochan, a company owned by the Auchan group, plans to develop several shopping centers in CEE, including locations such as Romania, Russia, Hungary, Ukraine, and Poland.
There will be two retail facilities developed in Romania. Brasov will feature the Coresi shopping center with a retail area of 32 thousand sq m. The facility will house 130 stores, an Auchan hypermarket (16 thousand sq m), a DIY store, an electronics store, and a 2,400-space parking lot. The mall is to open in Q2 2014. Bucharest, in the Drumul Taberei area, will feature a shopping center of about 10 thousand sq m with a 12 thousand sq m hypermarket. Shoppers will have 60 stores to choose from, and the parking lot will be able to accommodate 1,600 cars. The opening is scheduled for Q2 2015. Two shopping centers are also planned for Ukraine. The shopping center in Kiev will boast 35 thousand sq m of retail area (160 stores), as well as a 13 thousand sq m hypermarket. The parking lot will hold 3 thousand cars. The mall is scheduled for opening at the turn of 2014/2015. The shopping center in Odessa will provide 34 thousand sq m of leasable space and house a 14 thousand sq m hypermarket. Its opening is also scheduled for the turn of 2014/2015. As of now, the company is expanding the Auchan hypermarket and mall in Makiivka near Donetsk. Upon completion, the Rose Park shopping center will provide 47.5 thousand sq m of area, 32.5 thousand of which is leasable area (150 stores; 2,500-space parking). The company has one shopping center in store for Russia. The facility will boast 70 thousand sq m of leasable area and a 15.5 thousand sq m hypermarket. Pushino, the facility in question, will be located near Moscow. The facility will also provide a parking lot for 4 thousand cars, and its opening is scheduled for Q3 2013. In Hungary, Immochan will open a shopping center in Gyor in 2015. The facility will span 2 thousand sq m across 22 units, and will feature a 12 thousand sq m hypermarket. The mall will provide a 2,045-space parking lot. Immochan operates as a developer, investor, lease-up agent and property manager of Auchan malls and retail parks. Immochan, as part of the international Auchan group, conducts business in 12 countries, and participates in the development of Auchan shopping centers. In Poland, Immochan owns and manages 21 shopping centers, housing a total of 1.1 thousand units with a total GLA of 760 thousand sq m, including a GLA of 150 thousand sq m in shopping malls. The offer of shopping centers featuring a mall and Auchan hypermarket is complemented with Auchan gas stations, Decathlon, Leroy Merlin and Norauto outlets. The total GLA of malls featured in new developments is 300 thousand sq m. |
