Ikea largest store in Poland is completed in Wrocław’s Bielany Business Park, in the immediate vicinity of the interchange connecting the A4 motorway and national road 98. The facility, with the total floor area of 37.7 thousand sq m, will be the largest Ikea in Poland. The cost of the investment exceeds 200 million PLN.
The construction of the Ikea tower was completed at the beginning of February. The investor emphasizes the importance of this step as it announces the opening of the largest Ikea store in Poland.
“The tower symbolizes a key phase in the history of Ikea Wroclaw. It states that a new, much larger store will soon be opened with a product range that should satisfy the expectations of all our customers”, said Paweł Bujko from Ikea Wroclaw.
The current Ikea store was opened in Kobierzyce in 1996. Two years later, Inter Ikea Center Polska opened Bielany Retail Park in the neighborhood of the original facility. The current investment plan sets the completion of the work and the submission of the new store for the spring of 2013.
Ikea now has 325 stores worldwide, that are visited annually by approximately 734 million people, with 18 million visiting the 8 stores located in Poland. The Regional Distribution Center is situated in Jarosty near Piotrków Trybunalski. The center supports Ikea stores in Poland, the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, and Hungary.
