One of the first pieces of Business since the U.S Presidential elections to normalize trade relations with Russia and the U.S cleared a legislative hurdle on Tuesday 12th November and it’s expected to receive a positive outcome in a vote on Thursday 14th November.
The House Rules Committee approved a plan to combine legislation to establish "permanent normal trade relations" (PNTR) with Russia with a separate human rights measure. The vote is expected to take place on Thursday and then there will be another vote on Friday to combine the 2 bills which has broad bipartisan support.
This will is seen as a way to support U.S exporters in the growth market of Russia and therefore help create more jobs.
