Hungary is in talks with a number of foreign companies on investments that could each create several hundred jobs, the prime minister's commissioner for foreign trade and investment Zsolt Becsey said in an interview published in Wednesday's issue of daily Magyar Hírlap.
Becsey said talks with Swiss fragrance and flavor maker Givaudan on a plant in Mako (SE Hungary) are nearing completion. He added that a transfer of capacity to Danish toymaker Lego's base in Nyíregyháza was underway.
He said most investments by foreign companies in Hungary at the moment were related to the expansion of capacity that had been transferred from elsewhere, citing the examples of investments by Infineon, Bosch and Knorr Bremse.
