PRAGUE (CIA) - The first part of so far the biggest photovoltaic power plant in the Czech Republic near the village of Veprek northern of Kralupy nad Vltavou has launched its operation. The Energy Regulatory Office of the Czech Republic awarded a license to FVE Czech Novum of the group Decci on May 7 and the company thus can launch the first stage of the power plant with an output of 2,653 kW.
Prague-based Decci plans to build a solar power plant with an output of 32.5 MW close to Kralupy. According to the development permit issued by Kralupy Municipal Office, the power plant will be realised in 13 stages and the investor will launch an output of about 2.5 MW in each stage. Group Decci built a power station with an output of 6.1 MW near Smirice, Eastern Bohemia, last year.
