During the Friday’s (29.07.2011) session the Senate accepted the amendment to the Energy Law disadvantageous for wind power investors.
In accordance with the accepted amendment power grid operators will not be obligated to examine an application for the issuance of connection conditions if there is no free capacity in the grid node, to which the investor would like to connect a new source.
PWEA reminds that the amendment has previously been rejected by the Sejm; during the course of parliamentary works it appeared in and disappeared from the Law a couple of times.
The Friday’s decision of the Senate means that the amendment will be re-analysed by the Sejm’s Economy Committee. In accordance with its Deputy Chairman, Andrzej Czerwiński, the Committee will seek its rejection.
