Albanian Government Facilitates Procedures for Concessions in Energy Secto

Albania’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Energy announced on Wednesday it has simplified procedures regarding concessions for the constructions of hydropower plants.

From 23 permits from different institutions previously required in order to obtain a license, now all 20 licenses can be obtained at the National Licensing Center (QKL). The ministry will apply the tacit consent principle which means that if an institution does not reply within the legal time frame, the permit is considered as approved.
