Germany's PCC DEG Renewables plans to launch the construction of several small hydro power plants in FYROM in the first quarter of 2012, newswires reported. Through PCC DEG Renewables's FYROM subsidiary, PCC HYDRO DOOEL Skopje, the company is planning to build the four hydro power plants with an overall capacity of 4,100 kilowatts which will annually produce about 16m kilowatt hours of electricity. Investment in equipment and construction of the four FYROM projects is budgeted at about EUR 9m. The project financing was finalised in April 2011 with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development which is providing a long-term loan of EUR 6m.
