European Environment Agency (EEA) reports that there was a large drop of emissions been 2009 to 2010 and 9 Central and Eastern European countries are on target to reach the Kyoto targets.
The 9 counties are Poland, Czech republic, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania and at the current emission reduction rate they will overachieve there target of 8% reduction.
As well see the use of modern environmental technology and renewable energy technology spreading across the Central and Eastern European region is greatly helping the CEE reach its targets.
