Poland has a chance to become a household and electrical appliances empire as more and more Asian companies want to invest in the country.
Samsung Electronics has recently announced that it plans to produce washing machines and fridges in Poland. The Korean company bought two plants from the Polish producer Amica and wants to double production in a factory in the western town of Wronki.
Other electric appliances producers from Asia, including LG, have also invested in Poland recently. The country is attractive for Korean, Chinese or Japanese investors because it is located in the centre of Europe, the workforce is relatively cheap in comparison with Germany or Italy and the workers are skilled.
