Croatia now has over 1200 power stations running entirely on renewable energy included in their system of subsidized power stations, this equates to over 430,00 megawatts (MW). Since the beginning of 2015, over 130 power stations have been built with a capacity of 18,28 MW. The majority of these are solar power stations but they also include one hydro-electric plant, three plants that run on bio-gas and three on biomass.
There are 16 wind power stations that generate most of the power from renewable sources, followed by over a thousand solar power stations. There are also over 130 new power plants expected to be built in the near future also using renewable energy sources.
