Mapei announces HUF 1bn (€3.2m) investment in Hungary

A Mapei plant in Soskut, Hungary is to receive a boost as the company reveals plans to invest HUF 1bn with the aim of doubling its storage capacity as well as opening up a new production line. Thirty new jobs are expected to arise from the expansion as Mapei, an Italian building materials manufacturer, looks to grow in the Hungarian market.

Bela Markovich, a managing director, has said “As a result of the investment, Mapei hopes to double sales revenue at its Hungarian unit to HUF 20bn by 2020”.
