Environment: EU Commission brings POLAND and SLOVENIA to The court for e-waste failings

The European Commission is referring Poland and Slovenia to the EU Court of Justice over their inability to enact EU legislation on the recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment. The EU regulations, that should of being infused into country law by 14 February 2014, are designed to stop or greatly reduce negative environmental influences derived from this ever expanding waste stream. The restrictions are a 'recast' of the earlier WEEE Directive, they include several new or noticeably modified provisions. None of the Member States involved have enforced any of these new or greatly revised provisions .
