Its being reported that South African company Barloworld is buying the distribution and support business of Caterpillar's Bucyrus in Russia. Its understood that Barloworld will pay €50 million dollars for this part of Bucyrus. In 2011 Caterpillar which is the world's largest manufacturer of Mining equipment paid $ 7.6 billion dollars for Bucyrus . Barloworld is already a independent distributor of Caterpillar Mining equipment in Russia. Barloworld is optimistic about the demand for mining technology in Russia and expects growing demand from Russian mining operations. Barloworld looks to become the leading distributor of Caterpillar Trucks and loaders in Russia as it is in Russia's Bric Partner South Africa.
