Finland supports accelerated EU enlargement

Serbia's Minister of Foreign Affairs Vuk Jeremic stated in Helsinki, following a meeting with Finnish Minister of Foreign Affairs Erkki Tuomioja, that Finland is ready to endorse accelerated EU enlargement and the setting of a date for the beginning of accession talks with Serbia.

Jeremic told Tanjug news agency that Belgrade and Helsinki’s stances on the European process are very similar, that Finland endorses accelerated EU enlargement when it comes to Balkan states and that it supports the setting of a date for the beginning of Serbia’s EU accession talks.
