Serbia's Minister of Energy, Development and Environmental Protection Zorana Mihajlovic and Czech Minister of Environment Tomas Chalupa yesterday signed a cooperation programme of relevant ministries for this and next year.
Mihajlovic told a press conference held after the signing of the document ''Programme of Cooperation of the Ministry of Environment of the Czech Republic and the Ministry of Energy, Development and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Serbia for the period 2013-2014'' that the ministries will cooperate in waste management, recycling, as well as in the field of quality control of water and air.
Cooperation is related to the area of climate change on energy efficiency and renewable energy, and the exchange of experience in the EU accession process.
Serbia is committed to the EU road, andthe Czech experience will mean a lot to us, she noted, and expressed hope that the cooperation would be much more intense.
Chalupa stressed that the Czech Republic supports Serbia on its EU path and wants to help Serbia transfer of experiences on which areas to focus on in the process.
He said that the cooperation will refer to how to overcome the challenges of the environment faced by both countries. Source: Serbian Government
